Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development for children and teens
- Manage classroom or activity spaces to ensure safety, organization, and positive behavior management
- Support children’s individual needs through tailored guidance, including special education accommodations when necessary
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster respectful interactions and conflict resolution among participants
- Provide first aid or emergency assistance promptly when required, following safety protocols
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s well-being
- Organize sports, arts, theater productions, or camp activities that encourage teamwork and personal growth
- Offer mentorship and Christian counseling to promote moral values and emotional resilience in youth
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain an engaging yet disciplined environment
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience with special education needs or behavior management techniques is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in a positive manner
- Enthusiasm for working in dynamic environments such as sports coaching, babysitting, or theater programs
