We’re currently seeking dedicated Laundry Aides for the Healthcare Center at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We are currently hiring for a FT, 8A-4P position every other weekend, every other holidaye

WHAT YOU DO:
As a Laundry Aide at Luther Acres, you provide quality, efficient laundry services to ensure our skilled nursing care residents have clean and sanitary linens and garments. Among your responsibilities, you will:
- Collect resident clothing and Healthcare Center linens to be cleaned and ensure all standards and procedures are followed.
- Label all laundry using a computerized label machine and heat seal press and maintain an inventory book of all resident clothing/linens brought to the department for labeling.
- Operate a commercial washing machine and dryer, and complete ironing of personal laundry when needed.
- Deliver all linens to linen closets throughout the Healthcare Center and all residents’ personal laundry back to their rooms.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and machines, maintain inventory of laundry supplies, and inspect and monitor procedures to ensure high quality and efficient work.
- Assist with housekeeping tasks at times.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of laundry experience
- Ability to lift up twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) pounds frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull and push frequently, climb and sit occasionally
- One (1) year experience demonstrating knowledge of infection control principles in a long-term care setting.
