About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and successful Assistant Project Manager who will apply construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform duties and responsibilities. This is a long term (2 years), full-time, on-site position located in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Management, review, and oversight of the design to ensure compliance with contract documents. STRONG FOCUS PLACED ON DESIGN EXPERIENCE.
- Provide support and oversight of construction and associated work.
- Work directly with the Program Integration Team to ensure the design and construction is in accordance with the interface requirements provided by the System Technology.
- Develop an understanding of the contractual (technical / commercial) requirements of the Design-Build contract; review various submittals in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Working with the Lead Project Manager, prime project managers, authorities, and other Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) staff to review, coordinate, and oversee the design work.
- Distribute and review various designs and consolidate review comments from the Project Team and others to ensure consistency and compliance with the Design-Build contract.
- Support the Construction Management Division (CMD) in supporting the construction phase of the project, ensuring interfaces and contract requirements are understood and implemented.
- Support the Project Team in testing and commissioning the project.

The salary range listed for this role is $104k-$175k annually ($50-84 / hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications / licenses that have been obtained, etc.
