Lupin is seeking an experienced Packaging Mechanic to join our 3rd Shift team in Somerset, NJ. This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the reliable operation and maintenance of pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
The Packaging Mechanic will perform equipment setups, changeovers, adjustments, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to help maintain packaging-line performance, productivity, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform setup, changeovers, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging-line equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, PLC, and pneumatic systems.
- Support packaging equipment operation in accordance with validated parameters and production requirements.
- Diagnose equipment irregularities and implement corrective actions in partnership with Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate work orders, preventive maintenance records, and other cGMP documentation.
- Work with equipment vendors to troubleshoot issues and improve equipment performance.
- Support machine modifications, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain equipment manuals, tools, and critical spare-parts inventory.
- Support Quality investigations and CAPA activities as required.
- Train and assist packaging operators with equipment operation, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Follow applicable SOPs, cGMP requirements, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety procedures.
- Support productivity and quality goals while working collaboratively with Packaging, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
