Job Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager for a small, fast-paced cleaning company. In this role, you will oversee daily operational and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. Your responsibilities include managing supplies, scheduling, staff coordination, client communication, and monitoring productivity. The position combines in-office and remote duties, emphasizing teamwork, organization, and customer satisfaction. Experience or a strong interest in digital marketing is a valuable plus.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Supplies Management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning towels and supplies.
- Issue and refill spray bottles and cleaning products as needed.
Staff Coordination & Monitoring
- Communicate with staff regarding schedules, updates, and changes.
- Monitor employee time clocks and job clocks to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Fill in for staff shortages when necessary.
- Ensure staff have all necessary equipment and products to complete their duties.
- Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new employees.
- Track attendance and process time-off requests.
Policy & Procedure Management
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and service standards.
- Develop and deliver training materials.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new business strategies.
Scheduling & System Management
- Manage daily team and customer scheduling using field management software.
- Process billing and schedule adjustments for customer or employee changes.
Customer Relations
- Communicate with customers via phone, text, email, and social media to address inquiries.
- Manage customer schedules and ensure satisfaction with completed jobs.
- Conduct onsite estimates when required.
Marketing & Digital Outreach
- Create, schedule, and monitor engaging social media posts.
- Track and analyze post performance to improve visibility and engagement.
- Support digital marketing campaigns and customer outreach initiatives.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (in-office)
- Saturday: 8:00 am – 8:45 am (alternating)
- Remote: Respond to customer inquiries as needed until 8:30 pm
Compensation
(Based on the current average weekly sales revenue of $24,000 with seven active day teams.)
- Weekly pay
- Starting minimum compensation: 3.3% of sales revenue from completed jobs each pay period (approximately $792 per week or $42,000 annually)
- Compensation adjusts according to total revenue
- The commission percentage may decrease as additional teams are added, though overall pay generally increases with company growth
- Additional compensation for fieldwork conducted outside office hours
- Customer tips apply when covering staff shortages
- No additional pay for covering staff shortages during regular office hours

Qualifications
- Experience in operations, scheduling, or digital marketing is a plus
- Proficiency with field service management software, CRM systems, and Google Sheets
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience in the cleaning industry preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
