Lunova Group is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to identify an experienced Operations Manager for their facility in Moulton, Alabama. This individual will serve as the primary operational leader on-site, overseeing daily plant performance, championing a culture of safety, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the ongoing growth of the operation.

About the Role:

The Operations Manager will lead all day-to-day plant operations and maintenance activities, acting as the primary operational leader on-site. This individual must be comfortable making decisions, driving accountability, and partnering closely with leadership to achieve business objectives.

Safety is a core value and a foundational responsibility of this role. The Operations Manager will be expected to foster a culture where safe behaviors, proactive risk identification, and continuous improvement are embedded in every aspect of the operation.

This role requires a balance of hands-on operational leadership, technical expertise, and people development. The ideal candidate will bring structure, accountability, and clarity to the team while maintaining a positive, approachable culture. The Operations Manager will also play a key role in improving communication, driving operational improvements, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead all daily operations across production and maintenance
• Serve as the primary operational leader, making sound decisions that support business objectives
• Champion a safety-first culture where safety is treated as a core value and integrated into all operational activities
• Drive performance across key metrics including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost
• Own plant KPIs, budgeting, and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices (6S experience preferred)
• Provide leadership and direction to plant personnel
• Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across the team
• Support and develop frontline leadership, including supervisors and leads
• Improve communication and coordination across shifts and departments
• Partner with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance execution, and maximum uptime
• Support capital projects and operational improvement initiatives
• Help develop the systems, processes, and team capabilities needed to support future growth

Operations Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 7 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience within metals, heavy industrial, process manufacturing, or similar environments is preferred
• Experience in Lean manufacturing environments (6S strongly preferred)
• Proven ability to lead independently and make operational decisions with confidence
• Demonstrated success balancing people leadership with performance accountability
• Experience managing KPIs, budgets, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintenance operations
• Experience supporting capital projects, facility expansions, commissioning activities, or plant startups is highly preferred
• Strong commitment to building and sustaining a world-class safety culture
• Ability to lead in a hands-on environment with broad responsibilities
