Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the plumbing and construction industry. Duties
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites and remodeling projects
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading machines safely and effectively
- Support the installation of piping systems, fixtures, and appliances according to specifications
- Help with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in field service tasks including troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing basic repairs
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all OSHA standards during daily operations
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction or construction plumbing preferred; hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical concepts is advantageous
- Prior experience or coursework in plumbing is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn technical skills quickly
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and standing for extended periods
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes and system layouts
- Construction site experience or related field service background is desirable
- Valid driver's license preferred for travel between job sites
