Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Assist with bronchoscopies, pleurex, and other procedures as needed.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Assist with senior nursing facility patients as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in medical records.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical respiratory care setting.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
