The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is an independent, non-profit biomedical research organization located in Torrance, California. In dozens of laboratories throughout the campus, researchers are working to unravel the mysteries of heart and kidney disease, cardiac complications in newborns, chronic lung disease, skin cancer, sickle cell disease, disorders of the autoimmune system, and much more. Many of these projects are collaborative in nature, involving experts from different areas of specialization. Our discoveries have prevented blindness in newborns, enabled premature infants with fragile lungs to breathe and allowed children with rare, often fatal diseases to grow up healthy and strong.

Qualifications:
- GED or HS diploma
Minimum of 1-2 years related experience supporting senior leadership preferred - Prior experience providing administrative support to senior leadership positions strongly preferred
- Experience preparing agendas and meeting minutes/notes
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities
- Demonstrates proficiency with computer applications, online resources, and equipment utilized by Department
- Highly organized; capable of prioritizing and completing competing tasks
- Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking skills, and adaptability
Responsibilities:
- Supports Department of Emergency Medicine Chair in all day-to-day activities including routine and high-level administrative tasks
- Coordinate calendar/meeting schedule for Department of Emergency Medicine Chair
- Maintains and processes department travel and reimbursement vouchers
- Responsible for faculty timesheet submission and approval
- Maintains departmental supplies, including supply inventory and purchase orders
- Serve as point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders
