As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician plays a critical role in ensuring our products consistently meet quality and food safety standards. In this hands-on position, you'll conduct inspections, perform tests, and maintain accurate documentation to support compliant, efficient production. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility.

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician plays a critical role in ensuring our products consistently meet quality and food safety standards. In this hands-on position, you'll conduct inspections, perform tests, and maintain accurate documentation to support compliant, efficient production. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect ingredients, packaging, finished products, and processes (visual, sensory, formula verification, grading) to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Monitor and verify food safety systems: GMPs, sanitation/hygiene (ATP, allergen swabs), HACCP/CCPs, environmental monitoring, allergen control, labeling, and traceability.
- Calibrate and verify quality inspection equipment in lab and production areas for accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain and review quality documentation: test records, SOP compliance, hold/release procedures, and corrective action reports.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to reduce quality and food safety issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality processes, support new product startups, and manage hold/release with proper labeling and documentation.
- Support internal and external audits; promptly report food safety or quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Knowledge of food quality/food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP.
- Must maintain eligibility to drive on behalf of the company; refer to the Company Driver Policy for more information.
- Prior lab experience preferred.
- Understand team-based systems; participation, empowerment, and embedding of accountability.
- Basic knowledge of the rice industry and/or food manufacturing and processing/production systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
