This is a Union position, so the expected pay range is based on Union scale for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 (MN).

Description
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Union) in the yard/shop at Lunda Construction, reporting to the Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards
- Repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, suspension, and drivetrains
- Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes, and hoists
- Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck and work area
- Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies
- Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience
- One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
