Family Educator – Home Visiting

About the Position:

  • Position available in Residential treatment program providing comprehensive services to pregnant and parenting individuals receiving substance use and mental health treatment
  • Provides strength-based and family-centered parent education and family support to promote the health, safety, permanency and well-being of young children through:
    • observation, documentation, and assessment of parenting skills
    • individual and group education in early childhood development and parenting topics
    • support and one-on-one coaching to young, pregnant and parenting individuals
    • developmental assessment and coordination of services for children
    • collaboration with community providers
  • Opportunities available to utilize peer supervision and support, engage in community initiatives, and participate in professional development
  • Family Educator collaborates closely with multi-disciplinary treatment team and community providers to ensure holistic, family-centered support services
  • Full-time position with starting rate $18-$22/hour; salary determined based on education and experience
  • Lund provides clinical supervision towards licensure attainment

What We Look For:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in human services related field
  • Knowledge of child development, attachment, and trauma-informed care
  • Strong writing/oral communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of working families
  • Experience working with parents of young children
  • Parent coaching experience highly desirable
