About the Position:
- Position available in Residential treatment program providing comprehensive services to pregnant and parenting individuals receiving substance use and mental health treatment
- Provides strength-based and family-centered parent education and family support to promote the health, safety, permanency and well-being of young children through:
- observation, documentation, and assessment of parenting skills
- individual and group education in early childhood development and parenting topics
- support and one-on-one coaching to young, pregnant and parenting individuals
- developmental assessment and coordination of services for children
- collaboration with community providers
- Opportunities available to utilize peer supervision and support, engage in community initiatives, and participate in professional development
- Family Educator collaborates closely with multi-disciplinary treatment team and community providers to ensure holistic, family-centered support services
- Full-time position with starting rate $18-$22/hour; salary determined based on education and experience
- Lund provides clinical supervision towards licensure attainment
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in human services related field
- Knowledge of child development, attachment, and trauma-informed care
- Strong writing/oral communication skills
- Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of working families
- Experience working with parents of young children
- Parent coaching experience highly desirable
