Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA to join our memory care team. This role is vital in ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and assistance with daily activities. The CNA will work closely with nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care, particularly focusing on geriatric and memory care populations.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with mobility assistance, including transferring residents to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident areas and medical equipment.
- Document resident care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Certification as a CNA.
- Experience in hospital medicine, geriatrics, memory care, or senior care is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
