Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and wine pairings.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, ensuring timely refills and assistance as needed.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus.
