What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Fashion Designer position at Luna Luca?
Company Role Description
Luna Luca is a fast-growing baby and children's apparel brand located in Hudson, WI. We’re a lean team that moves fast and we’re looking for a rare combination: someone with a designer’s eye and an operator’s mindset.
This role supports both our product development process and our day-to-day business operations. You’ll work directly with the Founder/CEO, touching everything from CADs and tech packs to Shopify and customer service.
This role is ideal for a fashion designer who is entrepreneurially-minded and excited by the behind-the-scenes of building a real product e-com business — not just the design side.
About You
We’re a small but mighty brand with big ambitions. You’ll have real ownership over meaningful work, learn how an e-commerce product business operates end-to-end, and grow alongside the company. If you love the idea of building something from the inside out, this is your kind of role.
- You have a background in fashion design, ideally with exposure to baby or children’s clothing with experience in prints and repeats.
- You’re organized, reliable, and proactive — you notice what needs doing and do it without being asked
- You communicate clearly and often, ask good questions, and take ownership of your work
- You’re tech-savvy and comfortable jumping between tools (Adobe, Shopify, Notion, Klaviyo, etc.)
- You have your own computer and reliable internet connection
