Lumpkin County Schools is seeking applicants for a substitute part-time day care staff. This position includes all day care staff duties.
Play a pivotal role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care. Responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum, supervising and engaging children in play, learning, and socialization, assisting with meal preparation and feeding, as well as changing diapers and supporting potty training efforts. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the childcare area and effective communication with parents regarding their child's day are essential aspects of this role. Desired skills include: experience in a preschool or classroom setting with an understanding of early childhood development, strong caregiving skills, knowledge of behavior management techniques, and the ability to create stimulating and educational environments for children. Excellent communication skills, previous babysitting or childcare experience, and a passion for working with children are highly valued. This position reports to the Pre-K Director.
Salary: $10.00 hourly wage not to exceed 20 hours weekly
