- Manage and grow a multidisciplinary avionics team spanning hardware, firmware, and integration engineering.
- Own avionics architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with system-level requirements and mission objectives.
- Drive hardware development from concept through design, integration, qualification, and flight readiness.
- Partner closely with systems engineering, software, propulsion, GNC, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless subsystem integration.
- Establish avionics standards, documentation practices, and configuration control processes to support scale and repeatability.
- Oversee vendor selection, component qualification, and supply chain coordination for high-reliability electronics.

- Ability to balance technical rigor with execution speed in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Your Ideal Background:
- 8 years of experience in avionics, aerospace electronics, or spacecraft electrical systems.
- Direct ownership of at least one flight avionics system through integration and launch.
- Experience scaling avionics teams in a growth-stage or NewSpace environment.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop testing, embedded systems, and flight software interfaces.
- Strong systems mindset with the ability to operate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
