About the Role
As a Mental Health Coach, you will work one-on-one with adult clients to support them in:
- Developing daily structure and executive-functioning routines
- Practicing coping skills and emotional regulation tools
- Navigating social anxiety, life transitions, and recovery-oriented goals
- Building independence in areas such as life skills, communication, time management, and community integration
- Supporting follow-through on care plans from clinical providers (when applicable)
This role is ideal for someone calm, reliable, empathetic, and skilled in holding supportive accountability. Coaches do not provide therapy, clinical assessments, or crisis intervention, but you will collaborate with treatment teams when relevant.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly coaching sessions (virtual and/or in-person)
- Offer structured support, check-ins, and guidance between sessions as needed
- Assist with goal-setting, habit-building, and skill development
- Maintain professional boundaries and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision as required
Qualifications
✅ Experience supporting adults with mental health diagnoses (e.g., anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma history)
✅ Background in mental health, coaching, social work, peer support, case management, education, or related field
✅ Strong emotional regulation, patience, and grounded presence
✅ Clear communication and strong organizational skills
✅ Ability to work independently while collaborating with a care team
Preferred (not required)
- Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed approaches
- Lived experience in recovery or mental health advocacy
- Flexible schedule & comfort with virtual tools
Compensation
Contract role with competitive hourly or per-session rate, based on experience. Flexible hours — build a schedule that fits your life.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 25 per week
