Duties

• Provide professional hair styling, cutting, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s preferences and features.
• Perform skincare treatments such as dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, dermal fillers, Botox injections, and body waxing to enhance skin health and appearance.
• Apply makeup for special occasions, photo shoots, or daily wear, utilizing color theory and makeup application techniques.
• Conduct nail care services including manicures, pedicures, and nail art to ensure clients leave feeling polished and pampered.
• Manage retail sales by recommending products during consultations and conducting product demos to educate clients on skincare and beauty essentials.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards across all services including sterilizing tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize salon management software such as Millennium or MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, processing payments, and managing client records efficiently.
• Engage with clients through social media management to promote services, share beauty tips, and build lasting relationships.
• Assist at the front desk with guest services, appointment bookings, and answering client inquiries to ensure a seamless salon experience.
• Support the team with advanced techniques like tattooing or straight razor shaves if qualified, contributing to a comprehensive suite of beauty services.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of cosmetology practices including hair styling, coloring, cutting, and special treatments like hair threading or extensions.
• Strong management skills for overseeing appointments, retail sales, and client relationships effectively.
• Proficiency with salon software such as Millennium or MINDBODY for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
• Experience with esthetic laser treatments, dermal fillers, Botox injections, tattooing or body waxing is highly desirable.
• Competence in social media management for marketing purposes and engaging with the community online.
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols essential for maintaining a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Ability to upsell products or services confidently while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Familiarity with retail sales techniques combined with hospitality skills to create a welcoming atmosphere.
