Luminosity Cleaning is a professional cleaning and janitorial company serving residential, commercial, office, short-term rental, and facility clients throughout Washington, DC and surrounding areas.

We are looking for individuals who are professional, punctual, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of working independently.

Position Overview

Cleaning Professionals are responsible for completing assigned cleaning services according to the scope of each property or facility in a timely manner.

Assignments may include residential properties, offices, commercial facilities, Airbnb and short-term rental properties, move-in/move-out cleanings, and other professional cleaning environments.

The ideal candidate understands that cleaning is more than completing a checklist. We expect attention to detail, professionalism, respect for client property, excellent time management, and consistent service quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and detailed cleaning according to the scope of each assignment Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean flooring Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, baseboards, and accessible surfaces Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms Clean mirrors, glass, countertops, sinks, and other designated surfaces Empty trash and replace liners when required Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces Complete deep-cleaning and move-in/move-out services when assigned Perform Airbnb and short-term rental turnover cleaning when applicable Follow property-specific cleaning instructions Conduct a final walkthrough before completing each assignment Maintain professional communication regarding assignments Immediately report property damage, safety concerns, access issues, or other incidents Protect client keys, entry codes, alarm information, and confidential information Maintain professional conduct while inside client homes and facilities

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old Have reliable personal transportation Be willing and able to travel to client locations throughout the Washington, DC area Provide and bring their own professional cleaning supplies, products, tools, and equipment to every accepted assignment Have a reliable smartphone and consistent method of communication Be dependable and punctual Demonstrate strong attention to detail Be capable of working independently Follow written cleaning instructions and property-specific requirements Communicate professionally with Luminosity Cleaning and clients when appropriate Be comfortable working in residential and commercial environments Understand proper cleaning and sanitation practices Be able to safely use common cleaning products and equipment Be able to perform the physical duties associated with professional cleaning Maintain client confidentiality and respect client property

Cleaning Supplies & Equipment

Cleaning Professionals are required to provide and bring their own cleaning supplies, products, tools, and equipment necessary to complete each accepted cleaning assignment.

Contractors should arrive fully prepared with professional-grade supplies and equipment appropriate for the assigned service. This may include a vacuum, mop and bucket or floor-cleaning system, microfiber cloths, sponges, brushes, cleaning solutions, disinfectants, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, trash bags, gloves, and other supplies necessary to complete the assigned work.

All cleaning products and equipment must be safe, properly maintained, professional in quality, and appropriate for the surfaces being cleaned.

Luminosity Cleaning expects Cleaning Professionals to arrive at each accepted assignment fully prepared to perform the requested services without relying on the client to provide standard cleaning supplies or equipment.

Transportation

Reliable personal transportation is required.

Cleaning assignments may be located throughout Washington, DC and surrounding service areas. Applicants must be able to arrive at accepted assignments reliably and on time.

Professional Appearance

Luminosity Cleaning maintains a polished and professional image.

The standard appearance for client-facing cleaning assignments is:

• Clean, professional all-black attire Closed-toe, non-slip footwear appropriate for cleaning Clean and well-maintained appearance Appropriate personal protective equipment when required

Preferred Qualifications

The following are preferred but not necessarily required:

• Previous residential or commercial cleaning experience Janitorial or custodial experience Airbnb or short-term rental turnover experience Office or facility-cleaning experience Move-in/move-out cleaning experience Experience working independently in client properties Knowledge of professional cleaning products and equipment

Compensation

$65.00 per hour

Additional assignment details, expected service duration, location, and scope of work will be communicated before an assignment is accepted.
