Description:Job Summary:Approves patients for hospice admission, oversees patients' hospice care teams, and re-certifies patients for continued hospice care. Available to visit patients as needed, and to consult with patients' personal doctors and other physicians in the community. Responsibilities include promoting and maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality hospice care and regulations. May serve as a member of Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT)Requirements:Job Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university with a Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and is fully licensed to practice medicine and is enrolled in Medicare or maintains an Ordering and Referring status. Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the Governing Body, the IDG/IDT, and physicians.
