Essential Job Duties

- Provides professional support to internal and external customers that meet the needs of their diverse age and cultural backgrounds. Acts as a resource for staff members.
- Demonstrates ability to assess the need for, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, cost-effective educational programs for staff. Maintain educational records.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for new staff.
- Assists in development of competencies for clinical staff. Collaborates with other departments/nursing areas to ensure consistency and to avoid duplication.
- Promotes the advancement of nurses by offering a variety of learning opportunities planned for nurses in different stages of the Novice to Expert continuum.
- Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing.
- Master`s Degree in Nursing, Nursing Professional Development Certification preferred.
- Minimum of three as a Registered Nurse in acute care setting.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
- Specialty Certification required.
- Professional Organization Membership required.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Adherence to credentialing requirements of Luminis Health's as stated in the nursing bylaws.
