Responsibilities And Duties
- Onboarding (40%)
- Oversee onboarding activities and ensure timely, consistent execution
- Coordinate pre-onboarding activities, including job postings, offer letters, background checks, new hire paperwork, system setup, and logistics
- Communicate onboarding details and expectations to new hires
- Coordinate orientations and support new employees during their transition
- Ensure new hires are effectively integrated into their roles and company culture
- Continuously evaluate and improve the onboarding process
- Generalist Support (40%)
- Lead and contribute to HR projects and departmental initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Support recruiting, performance management, benefits administration, and training initiatives
- Facilitate initiatives that promote employee engagement and retention
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist with audits, reporting, and policy updates as needed
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers
- Contribute to an efficient, compliant, and employee-focused HR function
- Administrative Support (20%)
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely support
- Maintain accurate employee records, including data entry, filing, invoicing, and reporting
- Manage and audit employee data within the HRIS (e.g., BambooHR)
- Ensure proper document management and recordkeeping compliance
Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry preferred
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is desirable, but not required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of business operations and HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability and ability to manage multiple changing priorities
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service
- Uphold high level of integrity and professionalism to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR)
