Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review.
- Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
- Handle phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide information about services.
- Adequately clean/sterilize rooms/instruments consistent with standard infection control practices
- Assist with medical collections as needed, ensuring compliance with office policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental or medical setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in clerical tasks.
- Ability to handle medical scheduling efficiently while managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical collections is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
