Patient Care & Diagnosis Responsibilities:
Managing a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs; conducting a mix of acute, chronic, well visits, and Hedis 5-Star measures
Conduct physical exams and take medical histories in-office and conducting occasional tele-health visits
Diagnose illnesses and conditions.
Develop and implement patient treatment plans.
Prescribe medication.
Collaboration with in-office teammates
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and advanced imaging like MRI, CT, and ultrasounds.
Assist in surgery and perform other procedures.
Administrative & Collaborative Tasks:
Work with a supervising physician and other healthcare professionals in a collaborative, team-based setting.
Maintain patient records and document care.
Present Complex Cases to supervising physician
Triage patient phone calls when necessary.
Skills & Requirements:
Clinical Skills: Ability to perform necessary health care services, including physical examinations, injections, and other procedures.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Physical Abilities: Adequate physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients, along with sufficient manual dexterity.
Ethics & Confidentiality:
Awareness of legal aspects of patient confidentiality and the importance of accurate record-keeping.
Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Practiced at least 1 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting, seeing all ages is preferred, or have completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine internship program
Certified by passing the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)
State licensed in California, obtained before your Lumina Family Care start date
