What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Events & Community position at Lumida Wealth?
About Lumida
Lumida is a digital-native fiduciary serving founders, family offices, and investors who think differently about wealth.
Our mission is to transform wealth management — combining investment excellence and the best of trust and estate planning in a modern, tech-first experience.
Our team shares the same mindset as our clients — curious, original, and driven to build what doesn’t yet exist.
Recognized for our differentiated, non-consensus insights, Lumida is reshaping how modern investors build and enables its clients to invest beyond the ordinary.
The Opportunity
Lumida has cultivated a vibrant digital community of 50,000 investors, founders, and family-office leaders.
The Head of Community & Events will bring that energy to life — transforming digital engagement into a real-world ecosystem of connection, learning, and belonging.
This is a rare opportunity to design and scale a signature experiential platform that blends content, culture, and capital — a cross between Summit Series, SALT, and All-In Live.
You’ll craft moments that spark trust, conversation, and collaboration among the people shaping the future of wealth.
What You’ll Lead
1. Design Lumida’s Experiential Ecosystem
Architect and oversee a full calendar of IRL and digital events:
- Weekly private dinners (8–10 guests) in NYC
- Monthly themed salons (30–50 guests) rotating across digital assets, fintech, founders, and family-office communities
- Quarterly regional gatherings in Miami, Puerto Rico, Austin, and San Francisco
- A multi-day annual Lumida Summit — the flagship destination experience blending content, wellness, and networking
- Digital briefings and investor-only sessions to extend reach between events
2. Deliver Operational Excellence
- Manage all event logistics, vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets ($500K–$750K range).
- Develop repeatable playbooks for venue selection, run-of-show, production, and guest experience.
- Ensure every detail — from check-in flow to lighting — expresses Lumida’s sophistication and precision.
- Partner closely with Lumida’s Marketing, Content, and Product teams to align event narratives with brand storytelling and investment themes.
3. Curate Audience & Community
- Own guest-list development and audience segmentation.
- Partner with Marketing to drive registrations, email and Telegram capture, and CRM integration.
- Build bridges between Lumida’s digital following and IRL community.
4. Activate Sponsors & Partners
- Source and negotiate monetized or in-kind sponsorships with aligned brands, funds, and fintech innovators.
- Create co-branded experiences that elevate content and offset costs while maintaining exclusivity and quality.
5. Craft Experiences that Inspire
- Blend intellectual programming with sensory experiences — think fireside discussions, morning yoga, sauna sessions, evening fire-pits, and curated excursions.
- Maintain a consistent aesthetic and emotional through-line: thoughtful, modern, and human.
What Success Looks Like
- Measurable growth in Lumida’s community funnel (email Telegram sign-ups)
- Increased conversion of digital followers into live event participants
- High satisfaction and repeat attendance from clients and prospects
- Positive ROI from sponsorships and brand partnerships
- A clear Lumida “signature” experience recognized in the wealth, tech, and founder ecosystem
Who You Are
- 7 years producing high-end conferences, summits, or experiential programs (Summit Series, Blockworks, SALT, Soho House, Milken, etc.)
- Proven operator — thrives in planning, logistics, budgets, and vendor management
- Strong sense of taste and design; you care about ambiance, flow, and moments of connection
- Skilled collaborator who can coordinate across marketing, brand, and leadership teams
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful — you build world-class experiences without bureaucracy
- Bonus: familiarity with digital assets, fintech, or venture capital audiences
