Our client is seeking an experienced and technically rigorous Senior Process Engineer to drive process development, overlay improvement, defect characterization, and metrology — collaborating closely with customers and contributing to a growing intellectual property portfolio.
The role
- Design, execute, and document experiments to develop and optimize imprint lithography processes
- Operate and maintain wafer inspection systems and metrology tools
- Work directly with customers to understand their applications, resolve process challenges, and build lasting relationships
- Partner with internal teams and external collaborators on defect-reduction strategies and overlay improvement programs.
- Coordinate the qualification of imprint tools and technologies for specific customer use cases
- Contribute to patent development and the broader IP strategy of the business
Essential requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related discipline
- A minimum of three years' hands-on experience in semiconductor processing
- Proven expertise in advanced lithography, with specific experience in overlay and optical scanner systems
- A strong R&D background, ideally evidenced by patents or published patent applications
- Solid experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
