Job Summary
Lumi is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Digital Printer Operator for our innovative line of single-use, recyclable aluminum cold cups. In this role, you will be dedicated to the hands-on operation of our digital printing equipment, ensuring high-quality customization of our single-use aluminum cup products.
Lumi customizes three of its five sizes of aluminum cups for smaller, direct-to-consumer orders of as few as 50 cups, and customizes all five sizes for larger, business orders that may scale to entire pallets. You will monitor these print runs across multiple machines at the same time, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate closely with our operations and sales teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain digital printing machinery, ensuring high-quality output on our customized drinkware.
- Monitor printing runs for consistency; troubleshoot issues related to machinery, print files, and the cups themselves.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
- On a regular basis, take and report on printer supplies inventory, as well as other materials needed for order fulfillment.
- Be proactive about reordering key supplies before they are depleted.
- Calibrate print settings according to specific job specifications.
- Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to confirm order deadlines and meet those customer specifications.
- Uphold quality control standards and maintain detailed production records.
- Provide insights into methods to improve our printing and packing processes.
- Manage the workspace environment to ensure it is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in coordinating shipping schedules and managing relationships with logistics providers as needed to support order fulfillment.
- Work with the sales team to fulfill small-batch product sample requests.
- Act as a point-of-contact for support inventory tracking and assist the team with optimizing warehouse space utilization.
Qualifications
- 6 years hands-on experience operating digital printing equipment, ideally for conical or cylindrical objects (cups, cans, bottles) or comparable industrial-use materials.
- Experience with operating, optimizing and maintaining UV-based printing equipment
- Proficiency with inventory software and basic graphic design or RIP software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Flexi RIP).
- Strong attention to detail, color accuracy and ability to maintain high-quality production standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational, collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a personal vehicle to be able to occasionally transport shipments to UPS if necessary.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
