What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Visualization Intern position at Lumerse Studio?
Lumerse Studio is an architectural visualization firm based in Nob Hill, Albuquerque, serving architects, developers, and cultural institutions across New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and West Texas. We combine full-scale 3D modeling, high-fidelity VR/AR rendering, 360° spatial scanning, and digital-twin archiving to turn concepts into immersive, presentation-ready experiences.
We're offering a structured summer internship for students and recent grads interested in architectural visualization, 3D modeling, real-time rendering, and simulation. This is a mentored educational role focused on skill-building — you'll practice with production tools, build portfolio material, and work alongside ongoing studio projects under the supervision of founder Logan Skye.
Term: June 1, 2026 – July 24, 2026 (UNM Summer semester, 8 weeks)
Hours: 10–15 hours/week, up to 20 hours/week maximum
Compensation: Unpaid educational internship structured under U.S. Department of Labor Fact Sheet #71 (FLSA primary-beneficiary test). Academic credit preferred — we coordinate directly with your institution's internship program.

What You'll Practice:
• 3D modeling cleanup and organization (layers, naming, pivots, instancing) in Rhino 3D and similar tools
• Material, texture, and UV practice under supervision
• Real-time rendering workflows in Unreal Engine and Twinmotion
• Exposure to NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim for digital twin and simulation work
• 360° spatial scanning and LiDAR capture pipelines for digitizing sites and spaces
• Internal asset library and documentation development
• Supervised contribution on live client work across all project stages
Who You Are:
• Student or recent grad in architecture, design, computer graphics, game development, film/digital arts, robotics, or a related field
• Comfortable with at least one 3D tool (Rhino, SketchUp, Blender, Maya, or similar)
• Curious about real-time rendering, immersive visualization, and simulation
• Local to Albuquerque or able to commute to our Nob Hill studio
