Job Summary:
- Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms.
- Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability.
- Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues.
- Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions.
SD-WAN implementation and optimization.
Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics).
Security integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, NGFW, identity services).
- Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Agency security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
- Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience performing supervisory/management work including providing clear direction to subordinates; promoting teamwork and motivating others to accomplish goals.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.
- Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environment.
