Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pilates Instructor who can confidently lead equipment-based classes within a structured class system. This role requires strong technical knowledge, clear and efficient cueing, and the ability to provide hands-on guidance.
At Lumen, instructors are expected to deliver a consistent experience aligned with our teaching standards while maintaining a high level of attention to each client in the room.
Responsibilities
- Teach group Reformer classes (up to 9 clients) using clear, structured programming
- Provide hands-on corrections and individualized guidance when appropriate
- Deliver precise, effective cueing focused on alignment, control, and execution
- Maintain class flow, time management, and efficient transitions
- Ensure a clean, organized, and professional studio environment
- Build professional, respectful relationships with clients and team members
Requirements
- Prior experience teaching equipment-based Pilates classes (Reformer required)
- Strong understanding of alignment, movement mechanics, and class structure
- Ability to manage a group setting while maintaining attention to individual clients
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working within a structured class format and teaching standards
Preferred (not required)
- Comprehensive Pilates certification (Balanced Body or equivalent)
- Experience with Tower, Chair, or Cadillac
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
