Now hiring — immediate start. Lumen Atlas Logistics is actively seeking dependable 1099 Independent Contractors (Owner-Operators) for ad-hoc and scheduled freight routes across Kutztown, PA and surrounding regional areas.
We are onboarding Owner-Operators equipped with:
- Cargo Vans & Sprinter Vans
- 16ft Box Trucks
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: Competitive 1099 Contract Rates (Paid bi-weekly via Direct Deposit)
- Schedule: On-Demand / Ad Hoc & Scheduled Routes (4–7 days/week flexibility)
- Start Date: Immediate — positions filling fast
What You'll Do
- Safely operate your vehicle in accordance with DOT regulations and state/local traffic laws.
- Load, transport, and deliver freight across designated local and regional routes.
- Utilize mobile GPS apps and digital tools for efficient routing and real-time dispatch updates.
- Ensure accurate delivery completion by securing proof of delivery (POD) and customer sign-offs as required.
- Maintain professional, reliable communication with operations and client dispatchers.
Owner-Operator Requirements
- Vehicle: Must own or lease a road-ready Cargo Van, Sprinter Van, or 16ft Box Truck.
- Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Insurance: Active Commercial Auto Insurance & Cargo Insurance (Proof required prior to route assignment).
- Physical Fitness: Physically able to lift, load, and maneuver freight as required by route demands.
- Professionalism: Dependable, punctual, and equipped with a modern smartphone for tracking/apps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in ad-hoc courier, expedite freight, last-mile delivery, or route driving.
- Familiarity with load-handling equipment (pallet jacks, straps, dollies).
