The Network Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of the company's internal network systems, ensuring that the network is stable, secure, and efficient in supporting business operations. This role typically belongs to the IT Operations/Infrastructure team and is a critical support role within the enterprise IT system. π§ Key Responsibilities
Network Operations and Maintenance
Maintain the stable operation of the company's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Wireless Network (Wi-Fi)
Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and outage issues
System and Device Management
Manage network hardware assets and network topology
Perform installation, upgrades, patching, and replacement of network equipment
Maintain network configuration documentation and operational records
Network Security
Implement basic network security policies (e.g., firewall rules, access control)
Monitor abnormal traffic and assist in preventing network attacks and data breaches
Support VPN, remote access, and authentication mechanisms
User and Technical Support
Provide network-related technical support to internal employees
Assist new employees with network account and device access configuration
Collaborate with Help Desk and system administrators to resolve cross-system issues
Collaboration and Improvement
Collaborate with the IT team to support system upgrades and infrastructure projects
Propose network performance and security improvement suggestions
Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans
π Qualifications
Education
Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Skills and Experience
1-3 years of experience in network management or IT operations
Familiarity with network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)
Basic understanding of Windows/Linux network environments
Nice to Have
CCNA, Network , or other network certifications
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds)
