The Opportunity

Luma AI is a full-stack AI lab. We train our own foundational models and build the products that utilize them. We are well-resourced to compete at the frontier of AI while maintaining a lean team structure. You will join the founding engineering team for a new product focused on intelligent ad creation, solving novel problems in how AI agents perceive and manipulate creative assets.

Where You Come In

You will build the intelligence layer that powers our autonomous agentic workflows. This role involves designing systems that can handle the complexity of generative AI, from managing inference pipelines to building the infrastructure for autonomous creative agents. You will work to bridge the gap between our foundational research and a reliable production application.

What You Will Build

• Agent Infrastructure: Build the backend systems that enable autonomous AI agents to perform multi-step creative tasks on behalf of users.
• Generative Workflows: Design high-throughput systems capable of serving generative video and audio, solving challenges in job queuing and media processing.
• Optimization Loops: Implement the feedback loops that allow the system to learn from performance data and improve creative output over time.
  
  

The Profile We Are Looking For

• Systems Thinker: You have a history of making high-stakes technical decisions for complex systems, balancing speed, reliability, and scale.
• Domain Expertise: You have worked extensively in the ads ecosystem (creative optimization, exchanges, or platforms) and understand the data structures required for ad performance.
• AI Integration: You have experience or strong familiarity with building applications that leverage LLMs, agents, or multimodal models.
• Stack Proficiency: You hold a command of Python backends and are comfortable contributing to frontend React, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS.
