Frontend Engineer | Interaction Specialist

The Opportunity

Luma AI is building multimodal AGI to expand human capabilities. We believe that for intelligent systems to be truly useful, they must be able to perceive, understand, and interact with the world. We are a full-stack company, training our own models and building the products that deliver them to the world.

Where You Come In

You will build the translation layer between frontier intelligence and human intent. This role involves solving the unique challenges of AI-native interfaces, such as visualizing non-deterministic outputs, managing long-running asynchronous tasks, and creating trust through transparent system feedback. You will define the syntax of interaction for the AI era.

What You Will Build

• The Intelligence Layer: You will build the client-side logic that interprets complex model outputs and presents them to the user in a coherent, editable format.
• Asynchronous UX: You will design and implement patterns that bridge the gap between human speed and model inference time, keeping users engaged and productive during complex processing.
• Media-Rich Interfaces: You will build sophisticated tools for video and image manipulation, leveraging web technologies to bring desktop-class creative power to the browser.
  
  

The Profile We Are Looking For

• Interaction Specialist: You have experience building interfaces for complex workflows, such as creative tools, data visualization, or IDEs.
• Technical Judgment: You understand the constraints of the browser and know when to leverage canvas, WebGL, or standard DOM elements to achieve the best result.
• Production Expertise: You have expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript and a portfolio of shipped products that demonstrate your ability to handle complexity with elegance.
