Job Summary
The Buyer, New & Replenishment owns the strategy and execution of both newness and replenishment across multiple classes, delivering a balanced, trend-right, customer-right assortment that consistently meets sales, margin, inventory, and in-stock goals. This role blends fashion intuition with analytical rigor to develop and execute assortments with strong price-value and competitive positioning.
Partnering cross-functionally and with vendors, the Buyer analyzes sales, customer insights, and market trends to identify opportunities and bring assortments to life. They drive volume through timely reorders and chase decisions, actively managing core and reorder SKUs using stock-to-sales, sell-through, seasonal trends, and onsite performance to maximize turns, profitability, and minimize risk.
The ideal candidate is fashion-curious, highly analytical, and results-driven, with a passion for owning product from concept through replenishment.
Schedule: This is a hybrid role working out of our Los Angeles, CA office. The candidate is expected to be on-site on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility to come in on Monday or Friday as needed.
What You’ll Do

Own the end-to-end assortment strategy for assigned classes, including assortment architecture, line plans, and product roadmaps for both in-house development and third-party brands.

Curate a trend-relevant, premium-yet-accessible assortment aligned to Lulus’ customer profiles, delivering strong price-value, conversion, and full-price sell-through.

Analyze sales, inventory, and customer demand to anticipate needs, forecast inventory levels, and drive reorder decisions for key and core items.

Develop and execute seasonal receipt plans and inventory strategies to support revenue, margin, and inventory turn targets.

Partner closely with Planning to manage Open-to-Buy (OTB), track KPIs, and ensure alignment to financial and strategic objectives.

Manage inventory health through ongoing analysis, informed decision-making around reorders, markdowns, and risk mitigation.

Track and analyze best and worst performing styles, colors, and fabrics to inform future assortment and replenishment strategies.

Identify assortment opportunities and ideate strategies to evolve categories and capture new growth opportunities.

Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with Development, Merchandising, Production, Planning, and Marketing to ensure cohesive execution.

Establish and manage strong vendor relationships, including sourcing new vendors, reviewing samples, and negotiating quality, cost, quantity, and delivery.
What You’ll Need

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

4 years of retail buying experience.

Experience in Buying Women's Apparel and/or Accessories.

Proven track record of delivering sales, margin, and inventory KPIs, with demonstrated impact on category growth.

Strong business and analytical acumen, including advanced retail math and Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS).

Deep understanding of the Lulus brand, customer, and fast-fashion trend landscape.

Confident decision-maker with a balance of creative instinct and data-driven judgment.

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Our job postings include an annual base salary range for the role. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include an annual bonus and other benefit programs.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
