Come join our team! Seeking Part and Full time candidates. Completion of culinary school is not a requirement but real world experience is a must. If you have never worked in a commercial kitchen/bakery, please do not apply.
We are looking for someone personable, highly motivated, able to work independently, take direction and constructive criticism well.
The qualified candidates are able to work weekends and start at 8 or 9 am. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and is not afraid to do general cleaning tasks in addition to baking duties.
We pay based on experience, which we will determine after completion of a working interview to include following simple recipes from start to finish, and a review of basic technical skills.
We specialize in desserts, from chocolate mousse to layer cakes and have been voted Best Desserts in Savannah by the readers of Connect Magazine for 18 years. Care for detail, organization and decorating skills are desirable skills!
Our bakery is located on Whitemarsh Island, and functions alongside our coffee shop, dessert restaurant and bar. Interactions with customers, including taking orders and packaging desserts in a friendly and fun manner would also be a part of the job, with the opportunities to earn tips as well. Barista and restaurant experience are helpful but not required.
We offer free vision and dental insurance for those working over 30 hrs/week. We offer premium reimbursement of $50/month towards health insurance for individuals and $100 for families for full time employees after 90 days.
