As a Bistro Cook at Lula Wine Bar, you’ll play an essential role in bringing our menu to life. This position blends cooking responsibilities with shared prep duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in daily prep tasks such to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for service.
- Cooking Duties: Cook and assemble menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain a solid understanding of menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, to support smooth service and respond to special requests.
- Quality & Consistency: Ensure dishes are prepared and presented to meet our quality standards, maintaining excellent taste, texture, and plating.
- Inventory & Organization: Help monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and minimize waste to ensure ingredient freshness.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Keep work areas clean and organized, following all sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the general manager and support staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Equipment Care: Handle kitchen equipment responsibly, assisting in cleaning and routine maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or prep cook in a restaurant or kitchen setting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking and preparation techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
