The Foster Home Supervisor will recruit, train, license and support LUK Foster Homes to ensure the satisfaction and retention of homes as well as the success of children and youth in foster care. Recruitment of foster homes is an ongoing activity. It is the responsibility of the FRS to ensure that foster family candidates will provide safe and appropriate living situations for youth in the care of a state system. The FRS will help foster families complete licensing studies, provide training, and ongoing support after a child is placed in their home. This position will meet regularly with foster families within their home in order to ensure ongoing safety and appropriateness. This position requires comprehensive documentation for the agency to maintain licensure and accreditation. This position works closely with Community Placement Case Managers as well as referral sources and other professionals.
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work or closely related field. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Credentials as a Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Social Work required.
This is a fulltime position located in North Central Massachusetts and will include community-based travel and implementation. You must have reliable and safe transportation. Work schedule must accommodate the needs of the foster family. Bilingual/Bicultural candidates encouraged to apply.
