Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of medical instruments and sterilization procedures.
- Medical Terminology
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish (REQUIRED)
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle patient interactions professionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working alongside physicians
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare portals
- Additional certifications such as CPR or First Aid.
- Experience in managing multi-line phone systems and scheduling software.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical examinations.
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Sterilize medical instruments and maintain cleanliness of examination rooms to comply with health regulations.
- Manage patient communications by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing information as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and inventory management as required.
- This position requires at times heavy lifting of over 50 lbs, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of times.
