Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School (LuHi) is an independent Christian school serving students in grades 6-12. Our academics, arts, athletics, and campus ministry work together to support the growth and development of each young man and woman to become all who God intends them to be. LuHi seeks a visionary Athletic Director to join our team for the 2026-27 athletic seasons and steer our athletics programs into the future. Projected start date is on or around August 1, 2026.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who inspires excellence in members of an athletics team and head coaches to develop vision and ensuing strategy to build athletic programs within the core values of the school.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and lead LuHi Athletics team & Health/PE Department
- Develop vision and strategy for LuHi athletic program
- Develop and oversee annual Athletics budget, in collaboration with Director of Finance
- Recruit, hire and develop coaches
- Manage and oversee league relationships
- Explore possibilities for growth of athletics program
- Other duties as assigned by school leadership
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Athletics Administration, Sports Management or related field
- Experience as an Athletic Director and/or coach preferred but not required
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
