You will work alongside the team, learn every part of our operation, develop employees, solve problems in real time, and help ensure each day runs safely, efficiently, and professionally. The right candidate will be trained to confidently oversee daily operations when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
We are looking for someone who already has leadership experience but is still hungry to learn, improve, and earn greater responsibility.
What You’ll Be Responsible ForTeam Leadership and Development
- Lead from the front on junk removal, cleanout, and light demolition projects
- Coach team members on productivity, professionalism, safety, and customer service
- Help train new employees and develop future crew leaders
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable
- Recognize strong performance and address problems directly
- Help create a positive, disciplined, and results-driven workplace
Daily Operations
- Support the Operations Manager in coordinating crews, trucks, schedules, and job assignments
- Review job details and help teams prepare for the day
- Monitor job progress, labor efficiency, disposal costs, and schedule changes
- Make sound operational decisions when plans need to be adjusted
- Ensure company procedures and quality standards are followed
- Help keep trucks, equipment, supplies, and facilities organized and ready
- Step in to oversee daily operations when the Operations Manager is off duty
Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives professional, respectful, and reliable service
- Help resolve customer concerns calmly and appropriately
- Confirm crews communicate clearly, protect the customer’s property, and leave each job clean
- Represent Lug Away professionally at job sites and throughout the community

Physical and Scheduling Requirements
Because our leaders must understand and support the work their teams perform, this position includes regular fieldwork.
You must be able to:
- Safely lift and carry items weighing up to 90 pounds, with assistance when appropriate
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Commute reliably to Natick, Massachusetts
- Work a flexible full-time schedule based on operational needs
Training and Career Growth
You will complete a structured 12-week management training program that includes:
- Hands-on operational training
- Leadership and management development
- Skill sign-offs and performance evaluations
- Assigned leadership books and discussions
- Coaching from experienced company leaders
- Training in scheduling, team development, customer service, safety, and operational decision-making
Training does not end after onboarding. Lug Away provides continued management development for employees who demonstrate accountability, sound judgment, and the ability to lead others.
