Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Property Manager with experience in Affordable Housing programs ( LITHC, Section 8) to lead the management of residential property, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations. In this role, you will oversee daily property operations, foster positive relationships with tenants and vendors, and drive initiatives that enhance property value and resident satisfaction. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be key to creating a welcoming community environment while maintaining the highest standards of property management excellence.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of residential properties, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, LITHC and Section 8 program requirements
- Oversee property leasing activities, including marketing vacancies, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements
- Maintain accurate records using property management software such as OneSite, including data entry, filing, and reporting
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management
- Supervise Maintenance staff
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to lease contracts, eviction proceedings, and dispute resolution
- Foster excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person while managing conflict effectively
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor property conditions and oversee repairs or upgrades as needed
- Provide weekly and monthly reports as required
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing policies
- Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite for data management and reporting
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures
- Experience with property leasing, sales techniques, and customer relationship management strategies
- Excellent conflict management, negotiation skills, and ability to resolve disputes diplomatically
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures
- Superior office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and administrative support skills
- Effective communication skills for engaging with tenants, vendors, and team members professionally
