Job Summary:

Job Title: Shift Lead
Department: Retail / Medical Store
Reports to: Dispensary Manager or Assistant Manager

Shift Leads perform all of the functions of a Cannabis Advisor including assisting customers, and are accountable for strictly adhering to MED regulations and LSCB store policies and procedures. Shift Leads are also responsible for maintaining procedures and processes on the floor, help to train new staff members, and are accountable for the successful operations of their shift. They are able to be counted on for knowing the answers that the employees working on shift might have, and how to maintain proper flow of the shift, cash handling procedures, inventory procedures, and more. The Shift Lead ensures that excellent customer service and patient care standards are met from all staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the store’s checklists are accurate, up-to-date date and relevant, and that they are being completed with integrity by all employees
• Ensures that LSCB standard of excellent customer service is being met by all floor associates
• Capable of accurately ringing in all customer transactions with 100% accuracy and compliance
• Can receive product deliveries, double check accuracy of shipments and manifests, issue payments as needed, accept items in METRC, and check product into the POS system
• Restocks and maintains sales floor inventory
• Maintains clean, organized, and properly stocked displays and/or back stocks throughout the store
• Ensures products are in their proper place within the store at all times, and assists employees in following inventory procedures
• Assists with inventory audits
• Notifies General Manager of any malfunctioning equipment
• Assists with creating the Daily Breakdown and ensures that staff members are reading it at the start of each shift
• Ensures that all employees are taking assigned meal breaks and rest periods
• Ensures that employees are staying on assigned registers and counting drawers at the end of shifts
• Opening and closing the store with or without the General Manager or Assistant Manager present.

Skills & Qualifications:

• MED Key Badge
• Valid CO Driver’s License
• Must be 21 years of age
• Responsible Vendor certified, preferred
• Able to use POS system, Flowhub preferred
• Punctual, meticulous, reliable
• Have knowledge of strains, genetics, edibles, topicals, etc.
• Compassion for patients and guests
• Calm and level-headed
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to maintain an enjoyable and productive work environment for all staff
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient computing skills
• High level of responsibility and integrity
• Scheduling flexibility and willingness to pitch-in wherever needed
• Ability to work and delegate work in a fast paced, heavily regulated environment
• Must be confident and customer service oriented when dealing with patients/customers on the phone and in person as well
• Applicable experience leading other staff members

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Shift Leads regularly work early mornings and/or late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of our retail setting;

Successful performance of this role requires that the incumbent is physically able to move freely between different parts of the store, lift up to 30 pounds, perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling;

Spend several hours a day viewing a computer screen.
