Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Brief Overview)
- Paints and polishes surfaces as needed; repairs equipment, buidling and grounds as needed;
- Provide regular/scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and plant facilities
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to start and finish sheetrock repairs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Knowledge and Skills
- Considerable knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a variety of hand tools; considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of painting.
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy while interacting with residents, visitors, and staff
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work within defined time constraints
- Ability to take initiative and follow through
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of one year of maintenance experience, preferably in a health care setting; one year of experience with large-scale painting
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Pay based on experience.
