We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of our classic American high-end coastal steakhouse. Serving a discerning, affluent clientele in one of the most exclusive coastal markets in the United States, our restaurant blends timeless steakhouse traditions with the freshest coastal and seasonal ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:

Menu Development & Culinary Innovation: Create elevated, seasonally inspired menus that highlight premium cuts, sustainable seafood, and locally sourced produce.

Steakhouse & Butchering Expertise: Demonstrate advanced proficiency in steakhouse operations, dry-aging techniques, and precise butchery for prime and specialty meats.

Ingredient Sourcing: Build and maintain relationships with premium vendors, purveyors, and local farmers’ markets to ensure the highest quality and freshness.

Quality Control: Uphold uncompromising standards in flavor, plating, and presentation for every dish leaving the kitchen.

Operational Leadership: Oversee ordering, inventory, scheduling, and labor management to achieve operational excellence.

HR & Compliance: Lead onboarding, training, and performance management in alignment with established SOPs, maintaining compliance with all labor and health regulations.

Health & Safety Standards: Ensure full adherence to health codes and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections and staff training.
Qualifications:

Proven Executive Chef or senior culinary leadership experience in a high-end steakhouse or fine dining environment.

Advanced knowledge of menu creation, cost control, and culinary trends.

Deep expertise in butchering, dry-aging, and premium meat preparation.

Strong vendor and supplier network, particularly in specialty meats, seafood, and produce.

Demonstrated leadership in team training, scheduling, and labor cost management.

Full understanding of health code compliance and food safety regulations.

Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to commute reliably to Malibu, CA.
