In this role, you will be the primary caregiver responsible for supervising playtime, ensuring animal safety, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities
- Supervise dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interactions and appropriate behavior management
- Assist with dog handling, animal restraint, and training activities to promote good manners and socialization
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area through regular sanitization, waste removal, and facility sanitization procedures
- Provide pet boarding and pet sitting services as needed, ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared for
- Support with pet grooming, feeding, and administering basic veterinary or veterinary technician tasks under supervision
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with outdoor activities and dog exercise routines
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior, needs, and special instructions
Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal behavior, pet grooming techniques, and animal restraint methods
- Experience in dog training or animal handling is a strong plus
- Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions
- Strong customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and visitors
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform team lifting tasks safely
- Commitment to maintaining a clean environment through pet care facility sanitization practices
