What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook/Prep Cook position at Lucky Luke Brewing?
We are looking for a line cook in a local scratch kitchen. Line cooks also do prep and dishwashing.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, prepping meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items according to the "Lucky Luke way"
- Answer, report and follow head chef’s instructions
- Dishwash throughout certain day shifts during down time
- Dishwash throughout certain night shifts
- Clean station as you go and properly shut down stations at the end of the night
- Stock inventory appropriately - FIFO
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously and fast
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Deep cleaning during down time
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
