Role Description The Lead Drain Technician is a full-time role based in Minneapolis, MN. This role is responsible for performing residential and light commercial drain cleaning, main sewer line cleaning, hydro jetting, root removal, and preventative maintenance services. Day-to-day tasks include operating drain cleaning and inspection equipment, conducting sewer camera inspections, diagnosing issues, and explaining findings and options to customers in a clear, professional manner. The Lead Drain Technician will oversee job setup and safety, ensure accurate documentation of work performed, maintain equipment and vehicles, and support scheduling and coordination with the office team. This position also involves mentoring junior technicians, upholding company standards for customer service and transparency, and contributing feedback to improve processes and service offerings.
Qualifications
- Strong drain and sewer service skills, including experience with drain cleaning, main line clearing, hydro jetting, and root removal.
- Proficiency with sewer camera inspection equipment, basic diagnostics, and accurate documentation of findings.
- Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and recommendations in a clear, respectful manner.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on safe operation and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
