Front Desk Receptionist at Dog Daycare (Part-Time)
Location: Garden City, MI
Hours: Mid-day/Evening shift (approx. 12:30 PM – 7:00 PM)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
We are looking for an additional front desk receptionist to join our passionate pack of pet lovers in our fast paced dog daycare, boarding & grooming facility. We are seeking a friendly, organized and reliable professional to be the first point of contact for our furry clients and their parents. You will manage check-ins, answer calls, and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Greet customers warmly, answer phones, and respond to emails.
- Scheduling: schedule daycare, boarding, grooming and enrichment appointments.
- Record Keeping: Ensure pet vaccination records and client profiles are up-to-date and accurate.
- Payment Processing: Handle invoices, process transactions and manage daily sales.
- Facility Coordination: Maintain a clean, organized reception area and assist with general administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Love all dogs, any size, breed or temperament
- Age Requirement: Must be 25 years of age or older.
- Pet Experience: Previous experience working with animals is required.
- Industry Background: Prior work at a doggy daycare, boarding kennel, or grooming shop is highly valued.
- Commitment: Available to work at least 2 days a week or more.
- Communication Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and friendly, in-person customer service skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment without losing your cool.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using scheduling software, POS systems, and basic office tools.
